The pattern of signs follows some of the ancient waterways marked in nautical charts, i.e. the naval routes used by merchants and travelers who found new scenarios in Venice.

Based on stories and diaries of sailors, pilgrims, captains who returned from long journeys to the East, those routes spoke of landscapes, evocative notes, unusual flavours, distant memories and new opportunities for the conquest of unknown worlds.
